  1. It’s really interesting how blogs have become so main-stream… I always tell clients to be as targeted as they can with their blogs - so that they come up in search engines, and so that their message is clear and concise - and makes a real connection with their audience.

This post provides yet another reason to advise clients to be targeted and clear with their blogs.

  2. Great point about the media. As blog content gets picked up the search engines so quickly as well when the journalist does a Google search to check you out you can appear as a visible and credible source with a good Google score.

  3. I agree. No matter how much SEO work you do for a website, if you are a regular blogger and ping the blog service on a daily basis, your blog will rank higher in the search engine results. It’s a fabulous way to enhance your website traffic.

  4. Blogs and the media walk hand in hand in some cases. I think of recent days, and the importance of blogs and youtube in getting information to Americans who didn’t see it on their nightly news.

I’m speaking of Burma, now called Myanmar, and the atrocities perpetuated against the people. I speak, too, of the Buddhist monks who began a non-violent procession through the streets, who denounced the government by upending their alms bowls, many of whom were killed because so many reacted to this show of solidarity.

Blogs help the media by speaking in ways reporters may not be able to. They may show images that cannot even be sent to Reuters as an option to be shown in the US. Bloggers today are a lot like the HAM radio operators of years ago, and if they choose, they will have an increasingly informative position in society.
